The Kippa-Ring North Lakes Rotary Club has a strong commitment to supporting our young people be the best they can be.
Rotary District 9620 runs a number of youth programs which our club sponsors young people to attend
Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA)
Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is an intensive leadership experience organized by Rotary clubs and districts where young people develop your skills as a leader while having fun and making connections
Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN)
RYPEN is a residential week-end leadership and communications program for young people aged 14 -16.
Rotary Youth Transition Seminar (RYTS)
A 7-day camp for people who have recently graduated from school. The week is jammed packed full of sessions, games, guest speakers, activities, and events designed to prepare young people with everything they need to know to survive in the real world. They are taught how to budget, maintain a car, connect with and influence people, eat well, exercise, challenge yourself, build strong relationships and so much more!
National Youth Science Forum
This very competitive program is for students in year 12. Selected students stay on campus at university colleges, where they are immersed in science and technology. Students experience cutting edge technology and engage with industry partners and research providers.
Rotary Youth Exchange Program
The Rotary Youth Exchange Program offers a 12 months school-based exchange overseas. This program is supported globally by Rotary Districts and clubs in many countries.

EarlyAct™
is a school-wide service club for elementary students from ages 5 to 13.
EarlyAct™
provides young students the opportunity for gaining an increased awareness and knowledge of their community and the world. At a young age, all students can easily be encouraged to be caring and helpful. Their minds are open to recognize the dignity and worth of each individual which builds respect for others.
The Rotary Club of Kippa-Ring North Lakes support the EarlyAct club at Hercules State School
InterAct
Interact is Rotary’s service club for teenagers aged 12 to 18. connecting young people with communities in their own area and across the world.
Interact clubs are run by students within high schools with support offered by mentor Rotarians. Interact members work collaboratively, set goals and plan community service projects both locally and internationally, developing a network of friendships with local and overseas clubs.
Our club currently mentors the Grace Lutheran College Interact Club and is happy to support other schools in the Redcliffe and North lakes areas to establish Interact Clubs
